Type in the text that you want to appear in your lower third and then use the formatting options (located above the text box) to change things like the font, color, and size of your text.
When you’re happy with how your text looks, click on the “Uploads” tab in the left-hand sidebar and then select “Upload an image or video”. This will open up a file explorer window where you can choose an image or video clip to upload into Canva. For this example, we’ll upload an image of someone speaking into a microphone.
Once your image or video is uploaded, drag it onto your canvas and resize it so that it fits within your lower third template. You can also use Canva’s built-in photo editing tools (located in the top toolbar) to make further adjustments to your image or video, such as cropping, filtering, or adding overlays.
When you’re happy with how your lower third looks, click on the download icon in the top right-hand corner to download it.
