What Size Should Canva Images Be?

As a general rule, the size of your Canva images should be at least 1,000 pixels wide (10 inches at 100 ppi). This ensures that your images will be high enough resolution for print.

For most designs, 2,000 pixels wide (20 inches at 100 ppi) is sufficient. However, for very large prints or high-resolution screens, you may need an image that’s 3,000 pixels wide or more.

PRO TIP: Canva is a great tool for creating images, but it’s important to know the right image size for your project. Otherwise, you may end up with an image that’s too small or too large.

When in doubt, it’s always better to err on the side of caution and choose a larger image size. You can always crop or resize an image later, but it’s much harder to make a small image bigger without losing quality.

When it comes to image size, bigger is always better. That being said, there are a few exceptions to this rule.

For example, if you’re designing an image that will be used as a Facebook profile photo, the maximum width is 1,500 pixels. If you try to upload an image that’s larger than this, it will be automatically resize
