Last updated on September 27, 2022 @ 3:28 pm

If you’re like most people, you probably have a design or two that you really love, but you’re not quite sure how to edit them to make them your own. Maybe you want to change the color scheme, add some text, or even just tweak a few minor details. Whatever the case may be, editing existing designs in Canva is easy and fun!

To edit an existing design in Canva:

1. Log in to your Canva account and select the design you wish to edit from the homepage.

2. Once the design is open, click on any element to edit it. For example, if you want to change the color of a shape, simply click on the shape and then select your desired color from the palette.

3. To add new elements to the design, click on the “+” icon in the left-hand sidebar and select the type of element you wish to add. For example, if you want to add a new image, click on “Images” and then upload or choose an image from Canva’s library of over 1 million stock images.

4. To change the text in your design, simply click on any text element and start typing. You can also use the formatting options in the top toolbar to change things like the font, size, color, and alignment of your text.

5. Once you’re happy with your design, click on the “Download” button in the top toolbar and select your desired file format.

That’s it! Editing existing designs in Canva is quick and easy – give it a try today!

PRO TIP: If you are trying to edit an existing design in Canva, be aware that you may inadvertently change other parts of the design. Make sure to save your work often, and check the preview function to see how your changes will look before you publish them.
