As a rule, Canva doesn’t let you change the page size. The page size is fixed at 8.5 x 11 inches, or A4 (21 x 29.7 cm).
That’s because most of our templates are designed for print and we want to give you the best quality output possible.
However, there are some ways you can work around this. If you’re using one of our predesigned templates, you can try these steps:
- Click on the template that you want to use.
- Click on the Download button in the top right hand corner.
- In the File Format dropdown menu, select PDF. This will download your design at its current size.
If you’re starting from scratch with a blank design, or using one of our premium photos, you can try these steps instead:
- Create your design as normal.
- When you’re happy with your work, click on the Download button in the top right hand corner.
- In the File Format dropdown menu, select either JPG or PNG.
- Click on the “More options”” link next to “Download.”
This will open up a window with more file format options, including PDF and SVG. Select PDF and your design will download at its current size.
You can also change the page size by clicking on the dropdown menu next to “Size” in the top left hand corner of the Canva editor. This will let you select from popular print sizes like A3, A4, Letter and more.
However, please note that this will change the dimensions of your entire design, not just the canvas size. So if you have any images or text in your design, they may be cropped or end up in unexpected places.
PRO TIP: Canva does not offer the ability to change the page size. Please be aware that if you select a custom print size, your design may be cropped.
To recap, there’s no way to change the page size in Canva since most of our templates are designed for print. However, you can download your design at its current size as a PDF, or change the dimensions of your entire design by clicking on the “Size” dropdown menu in the top left hand corner of the editor.
