How Do I Create a Shareable Template in Canva?

Last updated on September 27, 2022 @ 5:30 pm

As a visual learner, I prefer to see examples of what I’m trying to create before I start working on it. That’s why, when it comes to Canva templates, I always head straight to the internet for some inspiration. After all, who knows better how to make a great-looking template than the professionals?

Once you’ve found a template you like the look of, click on the ‘Use this template’ button. This will open up the template in Canva’s editor, where you can make changes to suit your needs.

To change the text, simply click on the text box and start typing. You can also use the formatting options in the top bar to style your text – for example, you can make it bold or underlined. If you want to change the font or size of your text, click on the ‘Text’ button in the top bar and make your selection from the drop-down menu.

PRO TIP: Canva is a great tool for creating beautiful designs, but it’s important to be aware that shareable templates can be easily accessed and edited by anyone who has the link. If you want to keep your template private, make sure to set the privacy settings accordingly.

To change the images in your template, click on the image and then select ‘Change image’ from the options that appear in the top bar. You can then upload a new image from your computer, or choose one from Canva’s library of over 1 million stock images.

If you want to add new elements to your template, such as shapes or lines, click on the ‘Elements’ button in the top bar. Here you’ll find all sorts of things you can add to your design – play around with different options until you find something that looks right.

Once you’re happy with your template, click on the ‘Share’ button in the top bar and choose how you want to share it. You can either send it directly to someone via email, or share it on social media. You can also download it as an image or a PDF file.

Creating a shareable template in Canva is easy! Just follow these simple steps and you’ll be sharing beautiful designs in no time.
