Whether you’re creating a poster for a sale or a party, adding text to your design is a great way to catch people’s attention. But what if you want to add some extra flair to your text?
In Canva, it’s easy to make your text stand out with our built-in font options and editing tools. And best of all, you can do it all for free.
To make a tear in Canva, first select the “Text” tool from the left toolbar. Then, click on the “T” icon in the top right corner of the editor to open the font menu.
From here, you can choose from over 100 different fonts to style your text. Once you’ve selected a font, you can use the “Bold”, “Italic”, and “Underline” options to further customize your text.
If you want to add even more personality to your design, you can also use the “Text Effects” menu to add shadows, outlines, or even transform your text into different shapes. To access the “Text Effects” menu, simply click on the “fx” icon next to the font menu. Experiment with different combinations of fonts and effects until you find something that suits your design.
Once you’re happy with your text, simply click outside of the text box to deselect it. You can then move and resize your text as needed.
