If you’ve ever wondered how those stylish website headers or Facebook posts were created, the chances are they used a custom font. Custom fonts can add an extra level of personality and charm to your designs, and fortunately, it’s relatively easy to add them to your own repertoire. Canva’s free online editor makes it simple to add unique fonts to your designs.
Whether you’re designing a professional presentation or something for your personal blog, here’s how you can add custom fonts to your next Canva creation:
- Choose Your Font
- Upload the Font to Canva
- Add the Font to Your Design
The first step is obviously to choose the font you want to use. There are many websites that offer free fonts, such as Google Fonts. Once you’ve found a font you like, simply download it to your computer.
Next, head over to Canva and log in or sign up for a new account. Once you’re in, click on the “Uploads” tab in the left-hand sidebar and select “Upload your own fonts” from the drop-down menu.
Find the font file on your computer and click “Open. “
With the font now uploaded to Canva, you can use it in any design. To do so, click on the “Text” tab in the left-hand sidebar and then click on the “Add Text” button.
A text box will appear in your design; simply click on it and start typing away.
That’s all there is to it! With just a few clicks you can add custom fonts to any of your Canva designs.
