Can You Sell Free Canva Elements?

Last updated on September 27, 2022 @ 10:05 pm

As a general rule, you can’t sell free Canva elements. They’re meant to be used for personal projects, not for commercial purposes.

However, there are some circumstances where you may be able to sell them.

For example, if you make a minor modification to a free element, you may be able to sell it as part of a larger project. Additionally, some designers create entire Canva libraries that they sell (though these are generally more expensive than buying individual elements).

PRO TIP: Canva elements are free for personal and commercial use. However, you cannot sell them individually or in a package. If you do, you risk copyright infringement and legal action from Canva.

If you’re not sure whether or not you can sell a particular free Canva element, it’s always best to contact the designer directly and ask for permission. Remember to respect the terms of use for each element, even if you do have permission to sell it.

You can’t sell free Canva elements as-is, but you may be able to sell them if you make minor modifications. If you’re unsure, always contact the designer directly for clarification and respect the terms of use even if you have permission to sell an element.
