How many regions are there in Azure?

Last updated on September 25, 2022 @ 12:32 pm

Azure regions are the logical grouping of Azure services that are deployed in the same geographic location. Azure regions are made up of one or more Azure datacenters.

Azure regions are active when you create them and they remain active until you delete them.

There are currently four Azure regions: East US, Europe, Central US, and West US. Additional regions are planned, but not yet available.

Azure regions are the best way to group Azure services for performance, availability, and security. You can create multiple regions for each of these purposes.

Azure also supports load balancers, which can distribute traffic among different regions.

Azure regions have the following features:

1. You can create multiple regions for each of the following purposes: performance, availability, and security.

PRO TIP: There is no definitive answer to this question as Azure is constantly expanding and adding new regions. However, at the time of writing, there are approximately 50 Azure regions around the world.
