Why Is Hyperlink Not Working in Canva?

Last updated on March 22, 2023 @ 3:49 pm

When you hyperlink text in Canva, you may find that the hyperlink is not working when you click on it. This can be frustrating, especially if you’re trying to share your design with others. There are a few reasons why this may happen:

1. The most common reason is that the web address (URL) you’re trying to link to is incorrect.

Make sure that you’re including the full URL, including the “http://” or “https://” at the beginning. Canva will automatically hyperlink text that looks like a URL, so if you forget to include the “http://”, your link may not work.

2. Another possibility is that the website you’re linking to is down or no longer exists. In this case, there’s nothing you can do except try another website.

3. A less common reason is that your design may be set to private.

If your design is private, only people with the direct link will be able to view it. To fix this, go to Share and set the Collaboration link section to “Anyone with the link” to make it public.

4. Finally, it’s possible that there’s a problem with Canva’s servers. If this is the case, try again later or contact Canva support.
