Are Canva Projects Public?

Last updated on September 28, 2022 @ 12:18 am

As a social design platform, Canva is built around the sharing of designs and collaborating with others. Public projects are those that can be found and viewed by anyone, while private projects are only accessible to those with the link.

By default, projects are set to public, but can be switched to private at any time.

PRO TIP: If you are not signed in to your Canva account, any projects you open will be public and viewable by anyone. If you are signed in to your account, only projects that you have set as “Public” will be viewable by anyone.

There are benefits to both public and private projects. Public projects can be discovered by other users and may lead to design collaboration, while private projects offer more control over who can access and view the design.

Ultimately, the decision of whether to make a project public or private is up to the user.

So, are Canva projects public? By default, they are. But users have the option to switch them to private at any time.
