If you’re looking to host a PHP-based website on Linode, there a few things to keep in mind. First, make sure you have a Linode account and have set up your account with the Linode Manager. Once you have your account set up, follow these steps to create a new Linode server:
Click the “Create Server” button on the Linode Manager. In the “Server Details” field, enter the following information:
Name: hostphp
Location: us-east-1
Select the “Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus)” operating system from the list.
Click the “Create Server” button.
Once your server has been created, follow these steps to add the hostphp server to your Linode account:
Click the “Servers” tab on the Linode Manager. Under the “hostphp” server, click the “Add Server” button. Enter the following information into the “Server Details” field:
IP Address: 10.0.
0.51.
Port: 8000
Click the “Add Server” button.
Now you’re ready to add your website to your Linode account. To do this, follow these steps:
Click the “Add Website” button on the Linode Manager. In the “Website Details” field, enter the following information:
Name: myphpsite
Website Address: http://10.51:8000.
Click the “Add Website” button.
Your website should now be live and accessible from the web! To further customize your website’s settings, follow these steps:
Click the “Site” tab on the Linode Manager. Under the “myphpsite” website, click the “Site Properties” button. In the “General” field, enter the following information:
Title: My PHP Site
Description: This is my PHP-based website.
In the “Hosting” field, enter the following information:
Type: PHP
URL: http://10.
Click the “Save” button.
Finally, to protect your website and keep it running smoothly, follow these steps:
Click the “Security” tab on the Linode Manager. Under the “myphpsite” website, click the “Security” button. In the “Security Settings” field, enter the following information:
SSL/TLS: On
Caching: On
