Does Linode use Docker?

Last updated on September 25, 2022 @ 1:04 pm

There is no one definitive answer to this question as it largely depends on the specific requirements of a given organization. However, some general trends can be observed.

PRO TIP: Docker is a platform for developers andsysadmins to develop, ship, and run applications. Linode does notuse Docker.

For example, many providers – such as Amazon Web Services and Rackspace – rely heavily on Docker to enable on-demand delivery of applications and services. Conversely, Linode does not appear to make use of Docker at this time.

That said, it’s worth noting that Linode is always open to exploring new technologies and platforms, and may in the future make use of Docker in order to improve the performance and reliability of its services. So, while there is no definitive answer at this point, it’s likely that Linode does in fact use Docker.
