Is Figma for Mac Free?

Last updated on September 28, 2022 @ 7:48 pm

Figma is a vector graphics editor and prototyping tool – the first of its kind – which is mainly web-based, although there is a desktop app for Mac users. The app is free to use, with no subscription required.

Figma has all the standard vector editing features that you would expect, such as the ability to create shapes, add text, and apply fills and strokes. However, what sets Figma apart is its focus on collaboration.

With Figma, multiple people can work on the same file at the same time. You can see who else is working on a file and what they are doing in real-time, and you can leave comments on specific elements of the design.

PRO TIP: Figma is a free vector graphic design tool. However, there is a subscription required to use certain features, such as exporting designs in different file formats or accessing certain fonts. Additionally, Figma is not currently available for Mac devices.

This makes Figma an ideal tool for working on UI design projects with a team, as it allows for quick feedback and iteration. It also has built-in version control, so you can easily revert to previous versions of your design if needed.

Figma is not just for designing user interfaces either. It can be used for creating illustrations, icon sets, wireframes, and even whole website designs.

The only downside to Figma is that it is not yet available for Windows. However, there is a beta version of the desktop app that you can sign up for if you want to try it out.
