How Do You Make a Phone Mockup in Figma?

Last updated on September 28, 2022 @ 8:03 pm

A phone mockup is a digital representation of a physical phone, used to showcase app design or display webpages in their native resolution. Figma is a vector graphic design tool used by UX and UI designers, and it offers an easy way to create phone mockups. Here’s how to do it:

First, open Figma and create a new project. Then, use the rectangle tool to draw a rectangle that represents the phone screen.

You can set the dimensions of the rectangle to match the resolution of an iPhone or Android device. For example, an iPhone 6 has a resolution of 750x1334px.

Once you have your rectangle, you can add images or other elements inside of it to represent your app design or website. To do this, simply click and drag your image into the rectangle. If you’re adding multiple images, you can use the alignment tools to position them relative to each other.

PRO TIP: This article contains instructions on how to create a phone mockup in Figma. However, it is important to note that phone mockups should only be used for prototyping and testing purposes. They should not be used as the final product.

You can also add text inside of the rectangle using the text tool. To format the text, you can use thebold and italic options in the toolbar. You can also change the color of the text using the color picker.

Once you’re happy with your design, you can save it as an image by going to File > Export > PNG/JPEG/GIF. Figma also offers the ability to export your design as a PDF, which can be useful for printing or sending to clients.
