Can You Import Vectors Into Figma?

Last updated on November 24, 2022 @ 12:55 pm

Vectors are a crucial part of any design, whether you’re working on web or print projects. And one of the most popular vector design tools is Figma. But can you import vectors into Figma?

The answer is yes! You can import SVG, AI, and EPS files into Figma. And once you’ve imported your vectors, you can edit them just like any other object in Figma.

To import a vector into Figma, simply open the File menu and select “Import.” Then choose the vector file you want to import and click “Open.”

PRO TIP: Figma does not currently support importing vector files. If you try to import a vector file, it will be converted to a raster image. This means that you will lose all of the benefits of using a vector graphic, such as the ability to scale the image without losing quality.

Once your vector is imported into Figma, you can edit it just like any other object. You can move it, resize it, change its color, and more. And if you need to make changes to the original vector file, you can always re-import it and your changes will be updated in Figma.

So if you’re looking for a vector design tool that’s easy to use and has all the features you need, give Figma a try. You won’t be disappointed!
