Last updated on September 30, 2022 @ 10:49 am

When you create a website using Wix, you may sometimes run into issues where your site is not publishing correctly. This can be frustrating, especially if you’re not sure why it’s happening.

In this article, we’ll take a look at some of the most common reasons why your Wix site might not be publishing, and how you can fix them.

GREAT NEWS:

Exciting update! We've collaborated with Wix to offer WBI users with a free plan for all website creation needs - Explore the details here.

1. You Haven’t Published Your Site Yet

This may seem like an obvious one, but it’s worth checking if you’ve actually published your site yet.

To do this, just go to the ‘Publish’ tab in your Wix editor and make sure that the ‘Publish Site’ button is clicked. If it isn’t, just click it and your site should start publishing.

2. You Haven’t Connected Your Domain

If you’re trying to publish your site but you’re getting an error message saying that your domain isn’t connected, then this is likely the issue.

To fix it, just go to the ‘Domains’ tab in your Wix editor and connect your domain. Once it’s connected, your site should start publishing.

PRO TIP: If you are having trouble publishing your Wix site, there are a few possible reasons. First, check to make sure that you have connected your domain to your site. If you have not done this yet, you will not be able to publish your site. Second, check to see if there are any errors on your site. To do this, go to the “Site” tab and click “Edit Site.” Then, click “Site Issues” in the left sidebar. If there are any errors, fix them and try publishing again. Finally, if your site is still not publishing, contact Wix support for help.

3. Your Site Isn’t Live Yet

If you’ve published your site but it’s still not live, then this is probably because your site isn’t set to ‘live’ yet.

To do this, just go to the ‘Settings’ tab in your Wix editor and click on the ‘Site Status’ option. From here, you can set your site to ‘live’ and it should start working.

4. You Have Incorrect DNS Settings

If you’ve connected your domain but your site still isn’t appearing, then this could be because of incorrect DNS settings.

To fix this, just go to the ‘Domains’ tab in your Wix editor and click on the ‘DNS Settings’ option. From here, you can check that all of your DNS settings are correct and make any necessary changes.

Conclusion:

There are several reasons why a Wix site might not publish correctly. The most common reason is that the user hasn’t published their site yet or hasn’t connected their domain correctly.

Another reason could be that the DNS settings are incorrect. By following the steps above, you should be able to fix any publishing issues with your Wix site.
