In Figma, an overlay is a semi-transparent layer that is placed over an object. To add an overlay:

  1. Select the object you want to add the overlay to.
  2. Click the “Add Layer” button in the toolbar.
  3. In the “Add Layer” dialog, select “Overlay” from the list of layer types.
  4. Click the “OK” button.

The overlay will be added to your object. You can then adjust the transparency of the overlay by selecting it and using the slider in the toolbar.

To style text in HTML using tags:

The <p> tag defines a paragraph:

This is a paragraph.

The <b> tag defines bold text:

The <u> tag defines underlined text:

To add an overlay in Figma, first select the object you want to add the overlay to. Next, click on the “Add Layer” button in the toolbar.

In the “Add Layer” dialog, select “Overlay” from the list of layer types. Finally, click on the “OK” button. The overlay will be added to your object and you can then adjust its transparency by selecting it and using the slider in the toolbar.

PRO TIP: Overlays are a great way to add extra information to your design, but they can be tricky to work with. Here are a few things to keep in mind when using overlays in Figma:

1. Make sure your overlay is on the correct layer. You don’t want it to be hidden by other elements in your design.

2. Be careful with transparency. Overlays can sometimes make other elements in your design appear transparent, so use them sparingly.

3. Use the align and distribute tools to position your overlay correctly. This will help ensure that it is visible and correctly positioned on all screen sizes.
