How Do You Rotate in Figma 3D?

Last updated on September 28, 2022 @ 8:34 pm

Figma is a vector graphics editor and prototyping tool – the first of its kind. It’s web-based, making it easy to use and accessible from anywhere. And it has some pretty cool features, like 3D rotation.

To rotate an object in Figma 3D, first select the object. Then, click and hold the mouse button down while moving the mouse around. The object will rotate in the direction that you move the mouse.

PRO TIP: If you are using Figma 3D, please be aware that rotating your object can result in it becoming distorted. We recommend only rotating in small increments to avoid this.

You can also use the arrow keys on your keyboard to rotate an object in 3D. To do this, first select the object.

Then, press and hold the Shift key while pressing the Up, Down, Left, or Right arrow keys. The object will rotate in the direction of the arrow key that you press.

Finally, you can use the mouse wheel to rotate an object in 3D.

Then, press and hold the mouse wheel while moving the mouse around.

To summarize, there are three ways to rotate an object in Figma 3D: by clicking and holding the mouse button down while moving the mouse around; by pressing and holding the Shift key while pressing the Up, Down, Left, or Right arrow keys; or by pressing and holding the mouse wheel while moving the mouse around.
