Are Figma Projects Private?

Last updated on September 28, 2022 @ 8:46 pm

Figma is a great design tool for a variety of reasons. One of those reasons is that you can make your project private so that only people with the link can view it.

This is super useful if you’re working on a project with sensitive information or if you just want to keep your work to yourself until it’s ready to be shared. Here’s how you can make sure your Figma project is private:

1. Open your Figma file and click on the Share button in the top-right corner.

2. In the dropdown menu, select “Get link.”

3. A pop-up will appear with options for who can view your file.

Select “Only people with the link” and then click “Copy link. ”

4. Paste the link into an email or chat window and send it to whoever you want to be able to view your file.

That’s all there is to it! Now only people with the link will be able to see your Figma project. If you ever need to change who has access, just follow the steps above and adjust the settings in the pop-up window.

PRO TIP: Figma Projects are not private. Any user with access to the project can view, edit, and export your designs.
