Does Figma Have a Slack Integration?

Last updated on September 28, 2022 @ 8:53 pm

Figma is a vector graphics editor and prototyping tool – and one of the most popular design tools out there. It’s used by big names like Google, Facebook, and Airbnb, and is loved for its ease of use and collaboration features.

One thing that Figma is missing, however, is a Slack integration. This would be a huge help for teams that use both Slack and Figma, as it would allow for better communication and collaboration between team members.

At the moment, there is no official Slack integration for Figma. However, there are some workarounds that you can use to get the two tools to work together.

PRO TIP: Figma does not have a Slack integration at this time. This warning is to remind users that any information shared in Slack (including Figma files) may be accessed by unauthorized individuals.

One option is to use the ‘Slack for Figma’ app, which can be found in the Figma community. This app allows you to send notifications to Slack when someone comments on a Figma file, or when a file is updated.

Another option is to use IFTTT (If This Then That). IFTTT is a tool that lets you automate tasks between different apps and services. With IFTTT, you can set up a ‘recipe’ so that whenever someone comments on a Figma file, an message is automatically posted in your Slack channel.

So while there is no official Slack integration for Figma yet, there are some ways that you can get the two tools to work together. Hopefully in the future there will be an official integration, which would make life even easier for those who use both Slack and Figma!
