Are Wix and Editor X the Same?

Last updated on September 30, 2022 @ 11:55 am

If you’re considering using a Wix website builder, you may be wondering if Wix and Editor X are the same. After all, both are website builders that allow you to create a website without having to code it yourself.

However, there are some key differences between the two that you should be aware of before making a decision.

GREAT NEWS:

Exciting update! We've collaborated with Wix to offer WBI users with a free plan for all website creation needs - Explore the details here.

For starters, Wix is a lot more user-friendly than Editor X. With Wix, you can drag and drop elements onto your page and rearrange them however you like.

Editor X, on the other hand, requires you to add HTML code to your page in order to add elements or change their position.

PRO TIP: Please be advised that Wix and Editor X are not the same. Editor X is a newer product from Wix that is still in beta. As such, it is not recommended to use Editor X on live sites. Use at your own risk.

Another key difference is that Wix gives you access to more features and templates than Editor X. With Wix, you can choose from hundreds of different templates and use features like contact forms, online booking, and social media integration.

Editor X also has templates and features available, but not nearly as many as Wix.

Finally, Wix is more affordable than Editor X. If you’re on a tight budget, you can get started with Wix for free.

Editor X does have a free trial, but after that you’ll need to pay $10 per month for the basic plan or $20 per month for the premium plan.

So, what’s the bottom line? If you’re looking for a user-friendly website builder with access to lots of features and templates, then Wix is a great option. However, if you’re looking for a more affordable option, then Editor X might be a better choice.
