How Do I Add a Scroll Effect in Wix?

To add a scroll effect in Wix, you can use the Wix Scroll Effects feature. This feature allows you to create animation effects that are triggered as the user scrolls down the page. Here’s how to add a scroll effect in Wix:

PRO TIP: When adding a scroll effect in Wix, be careful not to add too much weight to the page. Too much weight can make the page scroll slowly or erratically.
  1. Log in to your Wix account and open the website editor.
  2. Select the page on which you want to add the scroll effect.
  3. From the left-hand menu, click on the “Add” button and then select the “Scroll Effects” option.
  4. You will now see the scroll effects panel on the left-hand side of the editor. In this panel, you can choose from a variety of animation effects, such as fade in, slide in, and more.
  5. To apply an effect to an element on your page, simply hover over the element and click on the “Add Scroll Effect” button that appears.
  6. From the list of available effects, select the one you want to use and then customize the options as needed. For example, you can adjust the speed, duration, and direction of the effect.
  7. When you’re happy with the effect, click on the “Apply” button to save your changes.
  8. You can preview the scroll effect by scrolling down the page in the editor. When you’re satisfied with the result, click on the “Publish” button to make the effect live on your website.

Keep in mind that the scroll effects feature is only available in certain Wix templates. If you don’t see the option to add scroll effects, you may need to switch to a different template or contact Wix support for help.
