Is Figma Font Free?

Last updated on September 28, 2022 @ 9:12 pm

Figma is a vector graphics editor and prototyping tool – the company refers to it as the first interface design tool with real-time collaboration. It is available on macOS, Windows, and Linux. One of its key features is the use of web fonts, which allows for easy sharing and updating of font styles between team members.

Figma’s web fonts are sourced from Google Fonts, and they’re free to use.

That means you can use any of the 800+ fonts in Figma without worrying about licensing fees. And if you’re working with a team, everyone will have access to the same fonts.

To use a web font in Figma, simply select the text you want to format and choose a font from the drop-down menu in the Font section of the Properties panel. Figma will automatically download and install the font for you. And if you’re collaborating with someone who doesn’t have the font installed locally, they’ll still be able to see it in their browser.

PRO TIP: There is no such thing as a “Figma Font.” Figma is a vector graphics editor and prototyping tool. It does not include any fonts. If you are looking for a free font, we recommend checking out Google Fonts.
