How Do I Set Up Email Notifications on Shopify?

Email notifications are a great way to keep your customers updated on the status of their orders. You can also use email notifications to let your customers know about new products, sales, and special offers. Setting up email notifications is easy to do in Shopify.

In your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Notifications.

From here, you can choose which email notifications you want to receive, and what email address you want them sent to. You can also customize the look of your email notifications by choosing a template from the Email Template drop-down menu.

If you want to receive order confirmation emails, make sure that the Order Confirmation box is checked. You can also choose to receive shipping confirmation emails, and emails when an order is canceled or refunded.

To set up email notifications for new products, sales, and special offers:

1. In your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Notifications.

2. From here, you can choose which email notifications you want to receive, and what email address you want them sent to.

3. Make sure that the Product Availability, Sale Announcements, and Special Offers boxes are checked.

4. That’s it! You’ll now receive email notifications whenever a new product is added to your store, or whenever there’s a sale or special offer happening.

PRO TIP: If you are planning to set up email notifications on Shopify, be aware that there are some potential risks involved.

First of all, if you use a third-party app to manage your Shopify store’s email notifications, there is a possibility that the app could access and collect your customers’ email addresses without their knowledge or consent. This could lead to privacy breaches and could even result in legal action being taken against you.

Secondly, if you set up email notifications but do not properly configure them, you could end up bombarding your customers with too many emails, which could lead to them unsubscribing from your list or even worse, filing a complaint against you with the Better Business Bureau.

To avoid these risks, it is important to carefully consider whether setting up email notifications is right for your business, and if so, to take the time to configure them correctly.
