How Do You Create a State in Figma?

When you add text to a frame in Figma, you create a text layer. By default, this text layer will be styled using the Figma default font. However, you can change the font for a text layer by selecting the layer and then choosing a new font from the Font drop-down menu in the Inspector.

You can also style text using HTML tags. To do this, select the Text tool from the Tools panel and then click on the frame where you want to add your text. In the Text Editor that appears, enter your text and then style it using HTML tags.

Creating a State in Figma

Figma allows you to create different states for your design elements. This is useful when you want to show how something will look when it’s hovered over, clicked on, or in a different state.

To create a state in Figma, select the element that you want to modify and then click on the State button in the toolbar. This will open up the States panel where you can create different states for your element.

PRO TIP: If you are not familiar with Figma, we recommend that you do not attempt to create a state in Figma. The process is complex and can lead to unexpected results.
