How Do I Filter Search on Shopify?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 3:53 pm

There are a few different ways that you can filter search results on Shopify. You can use the search bar to filter by keyword, or you can use the advanced search option to filter by product type, price, brand, and more.

To filter by keyword, simply enter a keyword into the search bar and hit enter. The results will be filtered to show only products that match that keyword.

To use the advanced search option, click on the “Advanced Search” link at the top of the search results page. This will open up a form where you can specify different criteria to filter by. For example, you can specify a price range, or only show products from certain brands.

PRO TIP: If you are planning to use the Shopify search filter function, be aware that there is a known issue with this feature. Some users have reported that the search results are not always accurate, and that the filter may not work as expected. Proceed with caution and test this feature out on a small scale before using it for your full ecommerce search needs.

Once you’ve selected the criteria you want to filter by, simply click on the “Search” button and the results will be updated accordingly.

You can also combine multiple filters together. For example, you could enter a keyword into the search bar and then use the advanced search form to further filter by price or brand.

No matter how you choose to filter your search results on Shopify, you’ll be able to find exactly what you’re looking for in no time!
