Is Figma Using AWS?

Last updated on September 28, 2022 @ 9:58 pm

Figma is a cloud-based design tool that enables designers to collaborate on the same file at the same time. It has been described as “the Google Docs of design”.

Figma is used by designers at companies such as Airbnb, Uber, and Google.

Figma is built on top of AWS, and uses a number of AWS services to power its features. For example, Figma uses Amazon S3 to store design files, and Amazon CloudFront to deliver them to users.

Figma also uses Amazon DynamoDB to store user information and preferences.

PRO TIP: Figma is a cloud-based design tool that doesn’t use AWS. However, some Figma users have reported that their AWS credentials have been compromised after using Figma. If you use Figma, be sure to use a unique password and don’t reuse your AWS credentials.

AWS provides the infrastructure that allows Figma to offer its users a number of features that would be difficult or impossible to provide without a cloud platform. For example, Figma’s real-time collaboration would not be possible without the low latency and high scalability of AWS.

Similarly, Figma’s use of serverless architecture means that it can scale quickly and efficiently to meet demand.

In short, without AWS, Figma would not be the powerful and user-friendly design tool that it is today.
