How Do I Connect WooCommerce to WordPress?

Assuming you have a WordPress site (either self-hosted or on WordPress.com), you can follow these steps to install and set up WooCommerce.

1. If you don’t already have one, create a new folder named “woocommerce” in your wp-content/plugins/ directory.

2. Download the latest release of WooCommerce from https://WordPress.org/plugins/woocommerce/ and unzip the file. 3. Using an FTP program, or your hosting control panel, upload the unzipped WooCommerce folder to your WordPress site’s wp-content/plugins/ directory. 4. On your WordPress site, go to Plugins > Installed Plugins and find “WooCommerce.”

Click the Activate link. 5. Upon activation, you’ll be asked to install some additional plugins that are required for WooCommerce to work properly. Install and activate them as well. 6. You should now see a new WooCommerce menu item in your WordPress admin sidebar. Click on it to set up your store!

PRO TIP: If you are not careful, connecting WooCommerce to WordPress can break your site. Make sure you back up your site before you connect the two platforms.

That’s it! You’ve now successfully installed WooCommerce and can begin setting up your online store.
