As a freelancer, you’re always looking for new and interesting projects to work on. But how do you know if a project is worth your time? One way to tell is by looking at the client’s profile on UpWork.

If they have a good reputation and feedback from previous freelancers, they’re likely to be a good client. But what about pay? Do freelancers pay UpWork?

PRO TIP: There are a number of scams in which freelancers are promised payment for work completed through Upwork, but the client never actually pays. Be sure to only work with clients who have a good reputation on the site and be sure to get all payments processed through Upwork in order to avoid being scammed.

The answer is yes, freelancers do pay UpWork. In fact, most clients on UpWork are very good about paying their freelancers.

However, there are always a few bad apples who don’t pay or who try to lowball their freelancers. If you’re worried about getting paid, you can always ask the client for a milestone payment before you start working on the project. This way, you’ll be paid no matter what happens.

So, if you’re considering becoming a freelancer, don’t let concerns about getting paid stop you. With a little research and due diligence, you can find clients who will value your work and pay you well for it.
