WooCommerce is a powerful eCommerce plugin that helps you turn your WordPress website into an online store. One of the many great features of WooCommerce is the ability to control how and when customers are notified about their order status. In this article, we’ll show you how to change notifications in WooCommerce.
If you’re running a WooCommerce store, it’s important to keep your customers up-to-date on the status of their orders. By default, WooCommerce will send out several emails to customers notifying them about their order status. These emails can be very helpful, but you may want to change how and when they’re sent out.
For example, you may want to disable the default “New Order” email and instead send a custom email notification to your customers when their order is placed. Or, you may want to disable all email notifications and instead send out push notifications to your customers’ mobile devices.
Luckily, changing notifications in WooCommerce is very easy to do. In this article, we’ll show you how to change WooCommerce email and other notifications.
How to Change WooCommerce Email Notifications
WooCommerce comes with a built-in email system that can be used to send out various types of notifications to your customers. By default, WooCommerce will send out several emails including “New Order”, “Completed Order”, “Customer Note”, and more.
You can change the settings for these emails by going to WooCommerce → Settings → Emails. On this page, you’ll see a list of all the different types of emails that WooCommerce can send out.
To change the settings for a particular email, simply click on the name of the email. This will bring up a new settings page where you can change the subject line, sender name and address, email content, and more.
Make sure to click on the “Save Changes” button at the bottom of the page when you’re done.
How to Disable Email Notifications in WooCommerce
If you don’t want WooCommerce to send any emails at all, you can easily disable all email notifications from the “Email Notification” section under WooCommerce → Settings → Advanced. Simply select the “Disable all WordPress emails” checkbox and then click on the “Save Changes”
.
While disabling all e-mail notifications may work for some business models, in most cases it’s probably not a good idea as it takes away an important way for store owners communicate with their customers. A better solution would be to selectively disable certain e-mail notifications while leaving others enabled.
