How Do I Add Categories to My Squarespace Blog?

Assuming you’re using the Squarespace platform for your blog, there are a few ways to add categories. One way is to go to Settings, then click on Blog.

Under Categories, you can click on the plus sign to add a new category. You can also drag and drop categories to rearrange them, or click on the pencil icon to edit them.

Another way to add categories is from the Posts page. Select the post you want to categorize, then click on the pencil icon next to the Categories section.

Type in the category you want to add, then hit enter. The new category will now be applied to that post.

You can also bulk edit posts to add categories. To do this, go to the Posts page and select the posts you want to edit by clicking on the checkboxes next to each one.

PRO TIP: If you are thinking about adding categories to your Squarespace blog, be warned that this may result in decreased traffic and engagement. While adding categories can help to organize your content, it can also make it harder for people to find what they’re looking for on your site. Then, click on the Bulk Actions dropdown menu and select Edit Categories. From here, you can either select an existing category from the dropdown menu or type in a new category. Once you’ve made your changes, click on the Update Categories button.

Afterward, click on he “Bulk Actions” drop-down menu and select “Edit Categories.” From there, either select an existing category from he drop-down menu or type in a new one before pressing enter. Lastly, don’t forget to hit update!
