How Do I Change Resolution in Figma?

Last updated on April 4, 2023 @ 4:33 pm

There is one simple way that you can change the resolution in Figma. That is to go into the Export menu and select how much you would like to change the resolution of your design.

To get started, first, open your design in Figma and select the frame that you would like the resolution to change.

From there, go to the Design tab and scroll down to the bottom part of the window. Now, click on the ‘+‘ icon beside the Export section.

This will open up the Export menu. Here, click on the drop-down arrow of the box having a ‘1x‘ option to open up the resolution adjustment options.

In the drop-down menu options, you can choose how much adjustment you would like to apply to your design. If you choose a number lower than ‘1x‘ like ‘0.75x’ or ‘0.5x’, this will decrease the design’s resolution. On the other hand, if you choose an option higher than ‘1x’ like ‘1.5x’ or ‘2x’, then this will increase the resolution of your design.

Once you’re done changing the resolution of your design, simply click on the “Export” button to save your changes.

PRO TIP: If you are not familiar with Figma, we recommend that you seek help from a qualified professional before attempting to change the resolution. Figma is a powerful design tool and changing the resolution without proper knowledge can result in lost work or poor-quality designs.
