How Do I Change Shortcuts in Figma?

Last updated on September 28, 2022 @ 10:26 pm

Figma is a vector graphics editor and design tool, primarily aimed at web designers and front-end developers. It can be used to create user interfaces, illustrations, icons, and any other vector-based designs.

Figma supports multiple pages and artboards per file, making it perfect for designing web pages, app UIs, or any other type of complex design.

One of the best things about Figma is that it’s extremely easy to use and change things on the fly. If you’re not happy with a particular shortcut, you can easily change it in the Preferences menu. Here’s how:

PRO TIP: We’re currently experiencing an issue with shortcuts in Figma. If you change a shortcut, it may not save correctly and you may lose access to that feature. We recommend not changing shortcuts at this time.
  1. Open the Preferences menu by clicking File > Preferences (Mac) or Edit > Preferences (Windows).
  2. Click the Shortcuts tab.
  3. Click the category that contains the shortcut you want to change.
  4. Click the shortcut you want to change.
  5. Enter the new shortcut in the text field.
  6. Click Save.

And that’s all there is to it!

. Changing shortcuts in Figma is quick and easy, so don’t be afraid to experiment until you find a setup that works best for you.
