What Image Files Does Squarespace Support?

As a general rule, image file formats with specific file extensions can be added to a Squarespace site. For example, .jpg, .png, and .gif files can all be added. However, there are a few other file types that can also be added as well.

Squarespace supports most common image file formats, such as .gif. Additionally, it also supports some less common formats, such as .bmp and .svg. However, there are a few file types that it does not support, such as .psd and .ai.

PRO TIP: Image files that are uploaded to Squarespace need to be in a supported format, or else they will not display properly on the website. The following formats are supported: JPG, PNG, GIF, and TIFF.
