Creating a visually appealing website banner is important for driving traffic to your site. But what size should a Squarespace banner be?

The size of your banner will depend on the width of your site. The recommended width for a banner is 1200px, but the height can vary. A good rule of thumb is to keep the height of your banner between 200-300px.

Your Squarespace banner should be high quality and relevant to your brand. Choose an image that is clear and easy to read, with a resolution of at least 72dpi. The file size of your banner should also be kept under 1MB.

PRO TIP: When creating a banner for your Squarespace website, be aware that the recommended size for banners is 1500×500 pixels. If you create a banner that is too large or too small, it may not display correctly on all devices.

Use a call-to-action (CTA) in your banner to encourage visitors to take action on your site. A CTA could be something like “Sign up for our newsletter” or “Buy now”.

Make sure your CTA stands out from the rest of the banner by using a color that contrast with the rest of the image. Use typography that is easy to read, such as sans serif fonts.

When creating a Squarespace banner, keep these tips in mind to create an effective and visually appealing design.
