How Do I Use UpWork Tracker?

UpWork offers two different ways to track time – the UpWork Desktop App and the UpWork Tracker. The UpWork Tracker is a browser extension that can be used with Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or Microsoft Edge. The UpWork Desktop App is a stand-alone application that can be used on Windows or Mac.

If you’re not sure which one to use, we recommend the UpWork Desktop App. It’s more reliable and provides a better user experience.

To use the UpWork Desktop App, first download it from the link at the bottom of this article. Once it’s installed, open the app and sign in with your UpWork account. Then, click the “Track time” button in the top-right corner of the app.

A new window will open where you can start tracking your time. First, select the client you want to track time for.

Then, select the project you’re working on. Finally, click the “Start Tracking” button.

Once you’ve started tracking your time, you can minimize the window and continue working. The app will continue running in the background and tracking your time. To stop tracking your time, click the “Stop Tracking” button in the app window.

The UpWork Tracker is a great way to track your time if you’re already using Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or Microsoft Edge. To install the tracker, visit the link at the bottom of this article and click “Add to Chrome”, “Add to Firefox”, or “Add to Edge”.

Once it’s installed, open the tracker by clicking on its icon in your browser’s toolbar. Then, sign in with your UpWork account. After that, you can start tracking your time by clicking on the “Track time” button in the tracker window.

Like with the UpWork Desktop App, you can select the client and project you’re working on before starting to track your time. Once you’ve started tracking your time, you can minimize the tracker window and continue working.

The tracker will continue running in the background and tracking your time. To stop tracking your time, click on the “Stop Tracking” button in the tracker window.

How Do I Use UpWork Tracker?

UpWork offers two different ways to track time – through their desktop app or through their browser extension tracker.

The desktop app is available for both Windows and Mac computers, while their browser extension tracker works with Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Edge.

If you’re not sure which one to use, they recommend using their desktop app since it’s more reliable.

PRO TIP: Workers on Upwork are able to track their time using the Upwork Tracker. This allows them to see how much time they are spending on a project, and also allows them to invoice their clients for the amount of time spent working. However, it is important to note that the Upwork Tracker is not a foolproof way to track time, and workers should be aware that they may not be able to accurately invoice their clients for the amount of time spent working if they do not use the tracker correctly.

To use their desktop app:

  1. Download it from the link at their website
  2. Install it on your computer
  3. Open up app and sign-in with your UpWork account credentials
  4. Click on “Track Time” button in top-right corner of application

A new window will pop-up allowing you to start tracking your time. First select client then project followed by clicking “Start Tracking” button.

“Once you’ve started tracking your time, feel free to minimize window and continue working as normal.”

The app will continue running in background while still tracking your time usage” so there’s no need to keep application open.

When ready to stop recording simply click ““Stop Tracking” button located inside application window.
