How Do You Duplicate Multiple Times in Figma?

In Figma, you can duplicate an object multiple times by selecting the object, pressing Ctrl+D (Windows) or Cmd+D (macOS), and then dragging the duplicate to the desired location. You can also use the Duplicate menu item in the Edit menu.

PRO TIP: If you are working on a design in Figma and need to duplicate an object multiple times, be careful! The “Duplicate” command will only create one copy of the object. To create multiple copies, you will need to use the “Duplicate” command multiple times.

If you need to duplicate an object multiple times in a grid or pattern, you can use the Replicate command. To replicate an object, select it and press Ctrl+R (Windows) or Cmd+R (macOS). Then, enter the number of rows and columns you want in the Replicate dialog box and click OK.

You can also use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Shift+D (Windows) or Cmd+Shift+D (macOS) to duplicate an object and create a link to the original. This is useful if you need to change multiple objects in the same way. For example, you could change the fill color of all linked objects at once by selecting one and changing the color in the Inspector.
