What Fonts Can You Use on Squarespace?

There are many fonts that can be used on Squarespace, but some are more common than others. The Sans Serif family is the most popular, and includes fonts such as Arial, Helvetica, and Verdana. These fonts are simple and easy to read, making them perfect for body text.

The Serif family is also popular, and includes fonts such as Times New Roman, Georgia, and Garamond. These fonts are more formal and are often used for headings or titles. Other font families that can be used on Squarespace include the Display family (such as Comic Sans or Papyrus) and the Handwriting family (such as cursive).

PRO TIP: While Squarespace does allow you to use custom fonts on your site, there are some caveats to be aware of. First, only certain file types are supported, so you’ll need to ensure that your font files are in one of the following formats: .otf, .ttf, or .woff. Additionally, custom fonts can only be used on certain Squarespace templates – specifically, the Bedford, Anya, Bryant, Hayden, and default template families. Finally, keep in mind that not all browsers support custom fonts, so there’s a chance that visitors to your site will see fallback fonts instead of the custom fonts you’ve selected.

To change the font of your text on Squarespace, simply select the text you want to change in the editor, then click the “Format” button at the top of the page. From here, you can select a different font from the drop-down menu.

You can also change the size, color, and other formatting options from this menu. If you want to use a custom font that is not available on Squarespace, you can upload it to your site using the Custom CSS editor.
