How Do You Name Frames in Figma?

Last updated on September 28, 2022 @ 10:52 pm

There are a few different ways that you can name frames in Figma. The first way is to simply click on the frame and then type in the name that you want to give it. This is the most straightforward way to do it, but it can be a little bit time-consuming if you have a lot of frames that you need to name.

Another way to name frames is to use the “Rename” option in the right-click menu. This is a quick way to rename a frame, but it can be a little confusing if you’re not familiar with the interface.

PRO TIP: If you are not careful when naming frames in Figma, you could end up with a lot of duplicate names. This can make it difficult to keep track of your design elements and can lead to confusion later on. Make sure to take the time to name your frames carefully and to check for duplicates before moving on.

The last way to name frames is to use the “Name” field in the properties panel. This option is great if you want to quickly change the name of a frame without having to open up the right-click menu.

No matter which method you use, be sure to take some time to think about your frame names. A good frame name should be descriptive and easy to remember. With a little bit of thought, you can make your frame names work for you instead of against you!
