Last updated on September 30, 2022 @ 11:48 pm

Wix is a popular website builder that allows users to create custom websites without having to write code. One of the great things about Wix is that it provides users with a lot of flexibility when it comes to designing their sites.

One way that you can customize your site is by adding a language menu. This can be useful if you want to create a multilingual website or if you want to offer visitors the option to view your site in their preferred language. In this article, we’ll show you how to add a language menu to your Wix site.

GREAT NEWS:

Exciting update! We've collaborated with Wix to offer WBI users with a free plan for all website creation needs - Explore the details here.

To add a language menu to your Wix site, you’ll first need to create a new page. To do this, log into your Wix account and click on the “Add Page” button in the left-hand sidebar.

On the next screen, you’ll need to give your page a name and choose a template. For the purposes of this tutorial, we’ll choose the “Blank” template.

Once you’ve created your page, click on the “Add Element” button in the left-hand sidebar. This will open up the Wix Editor, which will allow you to add various elements to your page.

In the “Basic” tab of the Editor, you’ll find the “Language Menu” element. Drag and drop this element onto your page.

Now that you’ve added the Language Menu element to your page, it’s time to configure it. To do this, click on the element and then click on the “Settings” button in the top toolbar.

This will open up the Settings panel for the element. In this panel, you can choose which languages you want to include in your menu and also specify what happens when a visitor clicks on one of the languages. For example, you can choose to redirect them to a different page on your site or simply change the text on your page to that language.

Once you’re happy with how your language menu looks and works, don’t forget to publish your changes by clicking on the “Publish” button in the top toolbar.

PRO TIP: If you are not comfortable working with code, we recommend that you seek help from a professional before attempting to add a language menu to your Wix site. Incorrectly adding code to your site can break your site, and we cannot provide support for code-related issues.

Adding a language menu to your Wix site is a great way to customize it and make it more user-friendly for visitors from all over the world. With just a few clicks, you can add this useful element to your site and start offering visitors the option to view your content in their preferred language.
