How Do I See Pending Payments on UpWork?

PRO TIP: If you are considering using Upwork to find freelance work, be aware that the site has a number of scams. One common scam is for a “client” to offer a job, but then request that the freelancer use a specific (usually third-party) payment method. The client will then disappear, leaving the freelancer without payment. To avoid this, only use Upwork’s built-in payment system and do not agree to work with anyone who requests that you use a different method.

As a freelancer, you may often wonder how to check if a client has actually paid you for your work. After all, it can be difficult to keep track of everything when you’re juggling multiple projects at once.

Thankfully, UpWork makes it easy to view your payments and see which ones are still pending. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to do it:

1. Log in to your UpWork account and click on the “Finances” tab at the top of the page.

2. From there, click on the “Detailed Statement” link.

3. On the Detailed Statement page, you’ll be able to see all of your payments, both completed and pending. Pending payments will have a status of “Processing” next to them.

4. If you want more information about a particular payment, simply click on the “View Details” link next to it. This will bring up a pop-up window with more information about the payment, including the date it was processed and the expected completion date.

5. Once a payment has been completed, the status will change from “Processing” to “Paid.” At that point, you’ll be able to withdraw the funds from your UpWork account according to your chosen withdrawal method.

So there you have it! Now you know how to easily check which payments are still pending and view more details about each one. With this information at your fingertips> It’s easy to stay on top of your finances and make sure you’re getting paid for all the work you do.
