How Do I Set Product Availability in WooCommerce?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 2:16 pm

Product availability is a crucial aspect of any online store. After all, what’s the point in having a website if your customers can’t purchase the products they’re looking for?

In WooCommerce, you can set product availability in a few different ways. The first is by using the stock management system. This allows you to keep track of how many units of each product you have in stock, and set minimum and maximum limits.

PRO TIP: If you are using WooCommerce to sell products online, it is important to set the availability of your products correctly. Otherwise, customers may order products that are not actually in stock, which can lead to frustration and negative reviews.

To set the availability of a product in WooCommerce:

1. Go to the Products page in your WordPress dashboard and click on the product you want to edit.

2. In the Product Data section, select the General tab.

3. Under the Product Availability heading, you can choose whether the product is In Stock or Out of Stock.

4. If you want to set a specific date when the product will be back in stock, you can do so under the Stock Status field.

5. Click the Update button to save your changes.

You can also set products to be “out of stock” when you’re running low on inventory. This is a good way to let customers know that you’re running out of a particular product, and that they should purchase it soon.

Finally, you can also use the “backorders” feature to allow customers to purchase products even when they’re out of stock. This is useful if you expect to restock a product soon, and don’t want to lose any sales.

So, those are a few ways you can set product availability in WooCommerce. By using the stock management system, setting products to be “out of stock”, or using the “backorders” feature, you can make sure your customers can always find the products they’re looking for.
