If you’ve decided to make the switch from Weebly to WordPress, there are a few things you need to do in order to make sure the transition is smooth. Here’s a quick guide on how to change your domain name from Weebly to WordPress:

PRO TIP: If you are considering changing your domain name from Weebly to WordPress, be aware that this can be a complicated and time-consuming process. There are a number of steps involved, and if you don’t carefully follow each one, you could end up losing important data or breaking your website. Before beginning, we strongly recommend that you back up your Weebly site and create a full backup of your WordPress site. Once you’ve done that, proceed with caution and follow the instructions below carefully.
  1. First, you need to export your Weebly site content. To do this, go to your Weebly dashboard and click on “Settings.” Under the “General” tab, you will see an option that says “Export.” Click on this, and then select “All Content.” This will download a .zip file of your entire Weebly site.
  2. Next, you need to create a WordPress site. You can do this by going to WordPress.com and clicking on the “Create a Site” button.

Follow the instructions on how to create a WordPress site.

  3. Once you have created your WordPress site, you need to import your Weebly content into it. To do this, go to your WordPress dashboard and click on “Tools.” Under the “Import” tab, you will see an option that says “Weebly.” Click on this and follow the instructions.
  4. Finally, once your content has been imported into WordPress, you need to change your domain name. To do this, go to your WordPress dashboard and click on “Settings.” Under the “General” tab, you will see an option that says “Change Domain.” Enter your new domain name here and click on the “Update Domain” button.

And that’s it! You have successfully changed your domain name from Weebly to WordPress.
