What Are the Levels on UpWork?

There are four levels on UpWork: Entry, Intermediate, Expert, and Top Rated. To move up to the next level, you need to complete more jobs and earn more money.

The higher your level, the more jobs you’ll be able to apply for and the more money you can earn.

Entry: To qualify for this level, you must complete at least 10 jobs with a 90% success rate and earn at least $3,000.

Intermediate: To qualify for this level, you must complete at least 50 jobs with a 90% success rate and earn at least $20,000.

PRO TIP: There are four levels on Upwork: Entry, Intermediate, Expert, and Top Rated.

Entry-level freelancers are new to Upwork and have few or no verified skills or employment history.

Intermediate-level freelancers have some verified skills and employment history.

Expert-level freelancers have extensive verified skills and employment history.

Top Rated freelancers have earned consistent high feedback and have been active on Upwork for at least 12 months.

Expert: To qualify for this level, you must complete at least 200 jobs with a 95% success rate and earn at least $100,000.

Top Rated: To qualify for this level, you must complete at least 400 jobs with a 95% success rate and earn at least $250,000.
