How Do You Edit CSS in Squarespace?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 12:56 am

There are four ways to edit CSS in Squarespace. The first is through the CSS Editor, which can be found in the Design tab under Advanced. This is where you can add custom CSS to your site. The second way is through the Code Injection tool, which can be found in the Settings tab under Advanced.

This is where you can add code that will be injected into your site’s header or footer. The third way is through the CustomCSS app, which can be found in the App Store. This app allows you to add custom CSS to your site without having to use the CSS Editor or Code Injection tool. The fourth way is through a third-party service such as Jetpack or Typekit. These services allow you to add custom CSS to your site without having to use the CSS Editor or Code Injection tool.

The easiest way to edit CSS in Squarespace is through the CSS Editor. To access the CSS Editor, go to the Design tab and click on Advanced.

Then, click on the “Edit Custom CSS” link. This will open the CSS Editor where you can add your custom CSS. To apply your changes, click on the “Save” button.

PRO TIP: Please be aware that editing CSS in Squarespace can be risky and may result in unexpected changes to your site. If you are not comfortable with code or are not confident in your abilities, we recommend seeking help from a professional.

If you want to add code that will be injected into your site’s header or footer, you can use the Code Injection tool. To access this tool, go to the Settings tab and click on Advanced.

Then, click on the “Code Injection” link. This will open a text box where you can enter your code.

If you want to add custom CSS to your site without having to use the CSS Editor or Code Injection tool, you can use the CustomCSS app. To install this app, go to the App Store and search for “CustomCSS.”

Once installed, you can access it by going to Design -> CustomCSS. From here, you can add your custom CSS and apply it to your site by clicking on the “Apply” button.

If you want to use a third-party service such as Jetpack or Typekit, you will need to create an account with them and follow their instructions for adding custom CSS to your Squarespace site.
