How Do I Edit a Single Product Page in WooCommerce?

Last updated on January 13, 2023 @ 12:03 pm

Assuming you have a WooCommerce site with products already added and that you are using the WordPress default theme, Twenty Seventeen, the following instructions will guide you in editing a single product page. If you are using a different theme, some of the steps may be different.

In order to edit a product page, first navigate to Products > All Products. Find the product that you want to edit and hover over it, then click Edit.

On the Edit Product page, there will be several tabs across the top. The first one is General. Here you can change the name, description, and price of the product, as well as specify if it is on sale and for how much. You can also upload a featured image for the product here.

The next tab is Inventory. Here you can track stock levels for the product as well as mark it as being in stock or out of stock. You can also enable backorders for the product if desired.

The Shipping tab is where you specify shipping dimensions and weights for the product if applicable. This information is used by WooCommerce to calculate shipping costs during checkout.

The final tab is Links. This is where you can add affiliate or external links to the product if desired.

PRO TIP: If you are not familiar with code or are not comfortable working with code, we recommend that you do not attempt to edit a single product page in WooCommerce. Doing so could break your site.
