Figma is a vector graphics editor and design tool, primarily used in the design of user interfaces for web and mobile applications. It is developed by Figma, Inc. and available in a web browser, as a desktop application for macOS and Windows, and as a mobile app for iOS and Android.
Figma has many features that allow users to style text, including the ability to change the font, color, size, alignment, and spacing of text. In addition, users can also add links to text, create bulleted or numbered lists, and add images.
One of the most common questions we get asked is how to remove the background from an image in Figma. The short answer is: you can’t! Figma doesn’t have a built-in tool for removing backgrounds from images.
There are a few ways you can work around this limitation:
– Use a transparent background image: Many image editing programs (like Photoshop) have an option to save images with a transparent background. This means that when you import the image into Figma, the background will be automatically removed.
– Use an image with a solid color background: You can import an image into Figma with a solid color background (like white or black), and then use the “Edit Colors” tool to change the background to transparent.
– Use an online background remover: There are several online tools that can remove backgrounds from images. We recommend using Remove BG (https://www.remove.bg/).
Simply upload your image, wait for the Background Removal process to finish, and then download your image with the background removed. You can then import this image into Figma.
As you can see, there are a few ways to work around the lack of a built-in background removal tool in Figma. While it may not be ideal in every situation, it is possible to remove backgrounds from images using one of the methods described above.
