Can You Search on Figma?

Figma is a vector graphics editor and prototyping tool – the company calls it the first interface design tool with real-time collaboration. It’s available for Mac, Windows and Linux, and in a web browser. The software is free to use for individuals, and there’s a subscription for teams.

Figma is used by designers at companies like Google, Facebook, Netflix and Uber. And it’s popular with design teams working on open source projects.

PRO TIP: Figma is a powerful design tool, but it’s important to remember that it is not a search engine. You can’t search for images or other elements on Figma, so be sure to use other tools to find the assets you need.

The software is based on the web and has real-time collaboration built in from the ground up.

That means that when you’re working on a design in Figma, you can invite others to view or edit the file. And because it’s all happening in the cloud, everyone is always working on the latest version of the file.

Figma also has an impressive set of features for designing user interfaces. In addition to vector drawing tools, it has features for creating grids, laying out elements and adding interactions. And because it’s based on the web, Figma files can be embedded in websites and viewed on any device.
