A domain name is the address of your website. It’s how people find you online.

It’s also your identity on the web; it’s how you’re known and found by customers and partners. A good domain name is short, memorable, and easy to spell.

Weebly makes it easy to choose and register a domain name for your website. Simply enter the domain name you want in the search bar, and Weebly will let you know if it’s available.

If it is, you can register it right then and there. Weebly also offers a variety of domain name endings, or TLDs, such as .com, .net, and .biz.

PRO TIP: Weebly’s domain name feature allows you to use your own custom domain name (e.g. www.example.com) with your Weebly site. You can either buy a new domain name directly through Weebly, or you can use an existing domain name that you own.

However, there are some things to be aware of when using a custom domain name with Weebly:

1. By default, Weebly will use a subdomain of weebly.com for your site (e.g. example.weebly.com). If you want to use your own custom domain name, you will need to purchase a Weebly Pro plan.

2. We do not recommend using a root domain (e.g. example.com) with Weebly, as this can cause problems with email deliverability and other services that rely on the root domain being unused. Instead, we recommend using a subdomain (e.g. www.example.com) or a subdirectory (e.g. example.com/blog).

3. Be aware that if you are using an existing domain name, any email accounts or other services that are currently associated with that domain name

A Weebly website can have multiple domains associated with it. For example, you could have www.example.com and blog.com pointing to the same website. You can manage all of your domains from your Weebly account Dashboard.
